I'm starting the streams of slenderverse ladies series/ female main character
This won’t be an official livestream, but a way you can gain access to all the series in one place, and if your bored and what not you can just head over to my instasynch and chat with people who might be there, add series you think I might have missed, and what not. I may be in there quite a bit too
It should be up around 9 pm CT/10 pm ET after Doctor Who :)
looking forward to this week! Link will be up shortly!
Outlook and I got a job from Chandler. We had to go down to Kentucky to locate a missing child who was supposed to die. Her name was Sara McGavin and she was five years old. Chandler had gotten a summons, so it was just the two of us.
Outlook was pretty absorbed in the case. She must have had…
why do other lgbt people hate straight people who support them??
like do you WANT them to hate you what the fuck
god forbid someone believe in equality and be straight
i’m really confused
I don’t even know. I have gay friends and…
Apparently, it’s because there are a lot of shitty allies who talk over actual LGBTQA people and claim the “A” stands for “ally” and generally try to make it all about themselves instead of the actual community.
I’m in my 30s and can number the people I’ve encountered who acted like that on one hand (I know of only one person who actually believed that “A = Ally”, and they were only 13). Most allies I know are genuinely caring, well-meaning people who genuinely want to make life better for others; sometimes we make faux pas because well, let’s face it: we’re all human, and we all make takes and say ignorant and incorrect things from time to time. And yet whenever I complain about the negative stereotype, I get asked if I “want a goddamn cookie” and informed that my place is to “shut the fuck up and listen/learn”. Despite the fact that I’m married to a pansexual guy and am (very likely) not cishet myself. Yeah.
I’ve been told that the real-life community is nothing like the one on tumblr: that if you’re a well-meaning person, you will generally be well-received. I sincerely hope that’s the case, because if there are anywhere near the number of hyper-politically correct assholes in real life as there are here, I weep for the future of humanity.
I know we were told that Twelve was going to be different, darker, more alien, more mature even — a grown and proper mastermind Doctor, someone with more bite to him like Seven or Nine. And I do see that, in some ways I do.
But in actuality I feel like Twelve is a more “human” doctor, and in…
i feel so bad for all the young trans boys/trans men who go to this site looking to be accepted but instead they find a bunch of people telling them that they should just ”choose not to be male” and that “being a man is harmful”
As a lesbian, I do not care at all about bisexual girls feeling left out or judged in the LGBTQ community. I know that's horrible, especially since my girlfriend is bi, but I find it very revolting when I think about making love with someone that loves taking dick. I fell for my girlfriend without knowing she likes guys and girls. I don't purposefully date bisexual girls and I don't think it's wrong to say that.
So I was thinking in honor of Slenderverse Ladies week, on my instasych will be a long list of Slenderverse series, so during that week you guys can just hop on over to my IS room if you want to watch the series you didn’t get to watch and/or want to watch again.
Hey, so I was thinking that the ladies get together on designated nights on TinyChat to do an in character panel to an audience. Is this possible? Is TinyChat still a thing? Is this 2009? Idk. I’m not exactly a high ranking lady in the verse but fuck it, you know how I love to get the gears moving.
The thing is when you’re bisexual, you’re not really surprised when a straight person is biphobic. Sure it sucks and you’re like “well fuck you too dude” to whoever the prick is; but it’s not so astonishing.
Biphobic gay people on the other hand, actually hurt like a motherfucker. Like bro you’re supposed to be on my side??? Like even “my people” can’t accept me?? That hurts so much more than some random dude who expects a threesome.
In high school they told us: There will be no grades in a class except the midterm and the final, so you have to study hard because failing one test means you fail the class. Once I was in college a professor said: Hey, you guys are working really hard on your third paper, so I’m just going to cancel the final and give everyone a hundred on it. In high school they told us: In college, class always begins exactly at the scheduled start time. If your class is at 9 AM and you get there at 9:01, the doors will be locked and you’ll be out of luck, especially if it’s the day of the midterm or final, because then you get a zero. Once I was in college a professor said: Does anyone mind if I start class at 3:35 instead of 3:30? These elevators are really slow and I want to have time for a cigarette before I teach for 90 minutes. In high school they told us: Every class you miss drops you a full letter grade in college courses. Once I was in college almost every professor said: You can miss three classes without a penalty, and a few more if you have a Doctor’s note. Sorry to be a hardass, but you automatically fail if you miss more than ten days of class. In high school they told us: If you do have papers, your professors just lecture and put the assignments on the syllabus. You’re completely responsible for remembering the deadlines, they won’t remind you. All your professors will do is lecture and the rest is up to you. Once I was in college a professor said: Okay, so your next paper is in two weeks! I’ll keep reminding you in the interim, but I just want to make sure you have enough time to do it! Let’s run through the structure I want to see real quick, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me or come to my office hours! In high school they told us: You have to use MLA formatting and if you make any mistakes in your citations, it’ll be considered plagiarism. You’ll be expelled and probably sued. Once I was in college almost every professor said: Please do not use MLA, it is awful, we use either APA or Chicago here because we are not 14 years old. In high school they told me: There is no excuse for an absence. NONE. In college I called a professor and said: I’m really, really, really sorry but it’s -18 before windchill and I have to walk two miles to get to class. The professor said: You stay inside and stay safe. Here’s what we’re reading today. I’ll quiz you next week and if you can get a 90% I’ll mark you present. I know you live off-campus, do you have food? In high school they told me: Your advisor is just for academia, not personal problems. In college my advisor called me: Are you okay? I haven’t seen you in class in two weeks and I know you have depression. I can drop off your work if you’d like. Please call me and tell me how you’re doing even if you can’t get to class. In high school they told me: Don’t argue. You think this is bad, wait til college. In college all but one of my professors said: You wanna argue, do it in a civil manner. We didn’t get here today without 5000 years of healthy debate.
Here are some of my experiences or what I’m currently going through:
We still use MLA format (idk why, when I was in ETSU we used APA? ahh)
As long as you communicate with your professors, things should go okay.
At ETSU, my advisor would call me to see how I was doing since he knew I had depression and I was ill.
My advisors (financial aid and otherwise) at PSC also wanted to make sure I was doing well.
College is hard; it’s really hard but its not terrible. At least in my opinion.
